Hunt Story
Has been an unusually slow season. Contemplated not going in the afternoon after a slow morning hunt. Sat in a pretty good rain for about 1/2 hour. When it finally quit, some deer started to ease out of the woods into the clearing. After watching some doe and a spike for a while, the spike started chasing the doe around and they all kinda disappeared. Sawyer then started with a few soft grunts from his grunt call. Soon he saw some movement directly across the way from him inside the wood line. He watched through his scope as another doe was moving and acting spooky. He realized it was bigger than the ones previously there so he moved his rifle/scope slightly to the right and there he was! About 10 yards inside the wood line. He had no time to think. Never saw him with his naked eye. He identified him and Sent it! 110 yards and the .308 found its mark. Dropped right there. First time we have ever gotten our #1 identified buck from our cameras.
