Hunt Story
Went out on the Friday after Thanksgiving with a couple of friends. Around 4:45 p.m. a couple of doe came out into the plot and I was able to get one of them at 180 yards. Excited about having made the shot, I was watching a few other deer in the field when the buck appeared from the wood line and was looking at the fallen doe. He kept approaching it but then turned and angled away. He was watching other doe in the field and when he finally stopped and turned I was able to get a bead on him at just under 200 yards. Recovered him just 50 yards into the woods. Called my dad who was on another piece of property just 5 miles away and he was out of breath when he answered. He had just shot a buck as well. This was our first deer double!
