Hunt Story

I was sitting in the tower stand at the intersection of two pipelines, and I had seen at least 15 so far that morning and a few decent bucks. I was waiting out for the big one, and a buck that would probably score from 135 - 140 stepped out at around 320 yards. I didn’t feel comfortable taking that shot because I didn’t want to injure the deer and not recover it, so I let it walk and he went back into the woods after about five minutes. Around 45 minutes later a single buck walks into the middle of the pipeline and he starts feeding. My grandpa told me to get my gun up in case of any other bucks. I got my gun up, and sure enough, four other bucks pop out including a really nice 9-pointer. The 9-pointer is the biggest in the group and he has his head down and was about to fight with another buck, but then I shot him and he dropped in his tracks. This was a very memorable hunt and I hope to have many more like it in the future.
