I had a feeling it was going to be a good evening as I was coming in to the property. I had seen several does running around all throughout the property along with one of the shooters I had been after. However this buck I had never seen before nor had any pictures of him. After settling in my stand it wasn't long and the deer started moving. I passed up a couple of nice bucks that were just too young in my opinion until this guy showed up. He came straight in and fed for almost 20 minutes with no shot and then turned and started walking directly away luckily he turned to check a scrape and gave me a perfect broadside shot at 30 yds. I waited until the next morning just to be safe and recovered him about 100 yds away.
