Hunt Story
I started seeing this buck in July at my Mineral sights. I didn't see him again until mid August at the same places. I have a couple of places that I have feeders in the bottoms that I have to carry corn in by hand that has always produced some great pictures. This year was no exception as soon as I started one up, which was a couple of weeks before primitive weapon season. I found this buck coming but not to regular to one of the feeders. Friday before season opened on Saturday he was there in daylight. I hunted that weekend and didn't see him. I stayed home Monday and he was there in daylight. I didn't see him again for 11 days. I hunted the next few days without seeing him. This whole time the temp was 85 in the afternoon. We finally got a break on the Monday with clouds and a NE wind. I saw does early and the woods got still for an hour. This doe started in towards me from a bedding area with 2 bucks in tow. They were not chasing only following her, they got 20 yards out and stopped for awhile then started to catch up to her where I was able to make a shot on him with the other 8 point looking dead at me.
