Hunt Story

I live in south Forsyth. Bought this place 20 years ago. This 6-pointer has been around the house for about 4 years. This 6 had been chasing a doe the night before last. I built a little house out of old lumber because I can't climb a tree anymore, I'm 83 years old. I was sitting in there watching some does, and I saw him coming way out in the woods, but he took off after the does. Yesterday, I went down and I was going to work on my little house, it needed some work. I saw him coming way out in the woods again. I ran and got my crossbow and had time to get behind my woodpile. He came on in and started eating corn, and I shot him. I have a club in Putnam and Jasper County, had it for 60 years. All my original people are gone except for me. Still have 115 acres that we bought in Shady Dale. We have a lot of does, couple of nice 10-pointers. They built me a stand about 4 feet tall with rails on it, and it looks out over a field loaded with white clover. I kill a couple of does there every year.
