Hunt Story
Thanksgiving week and the rut was on. Saw more deer that morning than have all season. Shot a doe earlier in the morning and had been watching deer all morning when I saw something big out of the corner of my eye. I watched for what felt like an eternity while this buck was in pretty thick cover. I could hear him grunting and making a rub, finally he made his way toward me, but still behind me. I slowly stood up and turned around. When he stepped out, I shot and he hit the ground.
