Hunt Story
I rattled up two smaller deer, neither big enough to shoot. After they came in, a good 10 came in. He passed me at 40 yards but I didn’t feel like I could make a good shot on him so I waited. He moved to a small pond to my left while one of the smaller bucks was about 10 yards from my stand to the left and 3 does around 40 yards to my right. The smaller buck showed interest in the does and did a little grunt which got the bigger deer's attention. The smaller deer moved to the does and the 10 came straight in. He was 15 to 20 yards but wouldn’t stop walking even as I grunted at him. I shot him a little farther back than I wanted but he ran about 30 yards started stumbling and went down right there. About 40 yards from my stand. By far the biggest buck I have ever shot with a bow.
