I have permission to hunt a 10-acre plot right beside Kennesaw Mountain in Marietta. I had been trying to connect with this buck for weeks while watching him on camera but never seem to be the right timing. He came in over my left shoulder right at 9 a.m. and hit a scrape right beside me. As he moved forward just enough to enter a clearing I drew back while he was behind some limbs. I made a small grunt and he stopped in the perfect position at less than 10 yards. I hit him right in the shoulder in a deer's off button and he dropped like a rock. Unfortunately he was just paralyzed. I waited about 20 minutes thinking he would pass but I eventually climbed down and had to finish him.
