Hunt Story

This is one of the two deer I have bow hunted for two years called fingers. Last November i shot this deer high behind the shoulder with the arrow exiting between the shoulder blades and he disappeared for the rest of the 2020 season. The last day of the 2020 season I shot a buck called Brutus and did the same thing. Surprisingly Brutus never left the property. The day after I had shot him he was on trail the cameras like nothing had happened. This season I focused only on Fingers because Brutus had left the property before the 2021 season started. On December 8th Brutus showed up already missing his antlers and appearing extremely frail and ill. Therefore, I decided to spend the rest of the season gun hunting Brutus. The last morning of the season I was walking to my stand and just had a good/strange feeling about the hunt I was about to have. I walked to the stand pretty early that mourning, and on my way in I heard two buck sparing and another deer in the swamp blowing. Once it started to get light at about 7:30, Fingers was standing to my right with another buck and a doe at 80 yards.
