Hunt Story
I am a Navy Reservist and opening day fell on my Drill Weekend, so I planned on taking my hunting gear to drill and heading straight to the woods for an evening hunt. I have been seeing a bachelor group of three quality bucks on my trail camera for the past two weeks and knew the odds were high I would see some deer. After drill, I changed from my Navy camo into my Mossy Oak and slipped into my hunting location around 6:00 PM. The 8-point came in at 7:20 and offered a 19 yard broadside shot. I hit him with a 2-blade Rage and he traveled less than 100 yards before expiring. This is my second velvet archery buck! The 2018 season got off to a great start!
