Hunt Story

I got to my stand before daylight and settled in for the day's hunt. I had seen 2 does at about 7:30 a.m. At about 8:00 a.m., I saw this buck at about 45 yard heading straight toward my stand from a southwest direction. He got to about 20 yards and moved a little left behind a small brushy tree. He milled around behind the tree for a minute or two, and as he started moving toward the east, I drew my bow, ready for him to move from behind the tree for a clear shot. As he moved from behind the tree, he started quartering away from me. I grunted and stopped him at about 18 yards and took the shot. He ran for about 20 yards back in the direction he had come from, stopped and fell about 40 yards from my stand.
