Hunt Story
Deer came in behind a couple of small bucks. All were on high alert, don't know if it was wind gust or they were catching my scent a little. After shot there was no blood until finally found a pool of blood about 60 yards from where he was standing when I shot. Blood disappeared about 20 yards from there. Decided to back out and come back at daylight. Found deer about 100 yards from where he had quit bleeding. Evidently deer was quartering toward me much more than I thought or arrow had deflected off of rib or shoulder bone. It had got part of lung and liver had went thru paunch and hit leg on other side. Glad I decided to back out would have been a good chance of bumping him.
