Hunt Story
I've been getting pics of this buck for 3 years, most of which were late afternoon and early evening. So on the afternoon of the 19th I went into the thicket where I'd been getting the pics and had planted a food plot in early September. I sat all afternoon without seeing a deer and just before dark he stepped out into the food plot and began to feed. I had a 50 yard quartering away shot on the buck. I shot him and heard him take off through the thicket and then heard him crash. He piled up about 40 yards away. I couldn't believe I had just killed the big 12-point that I had the pics of. An unofficial gross score put him in the upper 160s.
