Hunt Story
I hunted for this buck on numerous occasions throughout the year only to miss him coming through by mere minutes on some days. I was scheduled to work a half day on that Friday, so I was able to make it to the stand by 3 p.m. I knew the wind was wrong for my other stands, so I took my climber and headed to the back side of my property, which I had never hunted prior. At 5:24 p.m. this buck appeared at just over 60 yards heading straight toward me with only seconds to react. I quickly placed the crosshairs where they needed to be and squeezed the trigger, dropping him in his tracks!
