Hunt Story
Got to the stand later than normal, probably around 8. It was raining pretty hard on and off all morning. I saw a buck running across the clear cut around 8:30. I couldn’t get a shot on him. A couple of hours later I saw a doe come out, normally they go to the corn but she didn't slow down at all. I figured something was pushing her. Then a small 6 came out and was chasing her. Then the one I shot came behind him. I couldn’t get a shot at first. I grunted, and he turned and came straight toward me. I shot and missed. He went down in a drop off and I grunted again and he came back up. I pulled the trigger and he dropped. Best hunt of my life.
