Hunt Story
Was getting close to end of shooting light evening. Was discouraged and getting ready to pack up. Looked up and saw buck. Didn't see it come through the cutdown. Have been told by my wife that there was no more room on the walls of my den for another deer head. But when I saw the mass of his rack I knew I needed to harvest him. One shot and he fell directly. Because of the coming darkness, I made my way down from the hut I had just put up the day before (removed from service and rebuilt a couple of years ago and finally found a place to erect it). I found the buck directly and then went to get my hunting buddies to help load it and take to the processor. Decided to have it mounted as an European mount so I will have room on the wall.
