Hunt Story
This was a new piece of property i just leased a couple of months ago. I scouted the property twice and put up some cameras. Started getting pictures of this deer within three days. Decided to hunt Friday evening after the hurricane moved through because I thought the deer would be on their feet. This was only the fourth time I'd been on the property and only the second time hunting it. I got in the stand around 6 that evening. About 7 p.m. I was scanning the woods and caught movement directly behind me and it was the buck I'd been getting pictures of. I didn't even have time to stand up. I got my bow, twisted around in my stand and made the shot at 25 yards. I felt good about the shot when I released the arrow, but I guess I pulled the shot because of the way I was twisted round. Luckily my arrow caught the femoral artery and the buck on ran 60 yards and piled up. The Lord truly blessed me with my best Georgia bow kill.
