Hunt Story

Friday afternoon had plans to hunt with a friend and my father. Unfortunately, my dad was running behind and hunted another parcel of land a few miles away. Grunted and around 5:40 had a 4-point head my way, followed by this deer a few yards behind. Waited for a shot and flipped him onto his back. He was standing in about 18 inches of water when he fell, so I was able to make quick work of his trail from the dripping water off his coat once he reached dry ground. He had no exit wound and thus no blood trail, recovered about 40 yards. When we were headed out, Dad text me and said he had got some meat for his freezer. A good evening of cleaning and butchering followed.
