Hunt Story
Rode an E - Bike in to the area I was hunting and set it down about 150 yards from a loc on stand that my son and I had preset back in late July. Got in the stand around 4:30 PM. At a few minutes after 6:00 I heard a deer get up and take a few steps , pretty sure he was bedded there, maybe 70 yards away, in a brier, honeysuckle, dog fennel thicket. I continued to hear walking coming closer. A minute later I saw the buck standing about 35 yards away in the thicket. He continued into head high dog fennel patch and closed the distance until he was right in front of me, when he cleared the thicket I shot him broadside at 6 yards. He ended up running back into the thicket and the blood trail led us to him about 125 yards away.
