Hunt Story

We had a picture of a different good buck in there the evening before so we decided to sit that evening. We got in the stand late at around 5 p.m. We didn't see any other deer except for the buck. He came out of his bedding area and made his way along the trail on the creek to our feeder. We watched him the whole way and once he got in range I shot him. We weren't sure if it was a good shot since it was a little back so we decided to give him 3 hours. We came back at 10 in hopes to find him dead. We searched for about 20 minutes and found nothing. It wasn't until we went to the other side of the creek that we found a strong blood trail. We think my arrow had fallen out when he hopped a fence which made him start bleeding, because at the site of the shot there was no blood. We followed the blood trail at about 150 yards later we found him laying in a creek.
