Hunt Story

Well I had planned on working the morning of Veterans Day and had gotten to work at 4:30 a.m. but when I got there the power was off. So I went back home and then went hunting instead. Got to the stand a bit late, it was already light. I got in the boxstand because it was raining. But I was only in the stand for a few minutes when I saw a buck standing in the food plot (food plot is just a strip in between the rows of pines). He stood there a few min and walked in the pines. Less than a min later a small 8 pt walked out and walked right back in. Less than a minute after that a doe ran across the plot, and right behind her was this buck, he ran just to the other side of the plot and stood in the pines, took him a few min to get to an angle I could shoot, he faced me and turned his head around behind him, so I shot him right there, and he dropped. First time ever killing a buck in the rain!
