Hunt Story
I had gotten in later than I wanted to, had a climber that I wanted to put on a tree so I could see in between the two food plots because we had pics of a good 8-pointer at the feeder in one of the food plots. But I didn’t want to shoot him with a rifle. Well I didn’t get settled in till close to 7, sat down and looked up toward the feeder which is now close to 150 yards away and saw antlers. It was him! Didn’t want to call because I was scared he would go downwind and smell me so I didn’t, but he turned and walked straight for me. Shot him at 20 yards and the ol’ Matthews dropped him on the spot! I have never been so excited in all my life!!! Waited a couple hours to get him then. And turns out there were 4 more good bucks killed on the club the same morning! It was a day to remember! And my second and best bow buck.
