Hunt Story
On Thanksgiving morning, I went to a stand I had hung on a hardwood ridge, but saw the fog was too bad and couldn’t see. I decided to walk down ridge to an edge of a pasture located next to a clear cut. I sat down beside a cedar tree for good cover, a few minutes later the buck appeared in front of me approximately 10 yards. I shot the buck with Savage 6.5 Creedmore that I had won in a raffle at the NWTF yearly meeting. Buck was recovered and appeared to be in full rut.
