Hunt Story
After letting a good friend know I was finally locked in I put the phone away and prepared myself for a much needed and highly anticipated hunt. It seemed like only moments later when I looked up to see Big Boy's running buddy, a ten point standing only 20 yards out. I knew the bigger deer was most likely behind him so I began slowly preparing myself for a shot. Finally after what seemed like forever I had my bow in hand, release hooked, and the ten point (running buddy) standing directly under me. I looked up to see Big Boy standing in the same spot I first saw the ten point 20 yards out. My deer watched the ten point who by this point seemed a little nervous for what seem like forever. After several painfully nervous minutes the ten point began moving in the other direction. Finally, Big Boy turned to meet his buddy when I drew back, grunted to stop him, and released the arrow. Fairly certain the arrow found its mark I heard a crash 15 seconds later. I texted my good buddy Kendall the news and after a long 20 minutes I climbed down to find a saturated arrow and my buck laying 25 yards from my initial shot.
