Hunt Story

The good Lord blessed me with another incredible deer season. I have been getting pictures of this buck off and on over the last few weeks, but all were night pictures. I knew after the major front came through and the temps dropped to the coldest we have had all fall it was the time to be there. I got in before daylight and it was 22 degrees! At around 8:20 I see a doe come through and she is looking behind her. I had seen a couple of spikes go in that direction and thought it was them. I see a buck making a scrape and realize what deer it is. He comes straight in and I shoot him at 16 yards. The buck runs about 45 yards and piles up. I did get a cool cell cam pic from my Spartan as he ran by it. You can see the arrow hanging out as he runs by.
