Hunt Story
It was almost 9:20, and my dad and I were sitting in the clearcut watching a flock of turkeys. We decided we were going to get down at 9:30, so we were starting to get our stuff together. We made one more glance at the edge of the property. When we looked, we saw a big 8-point buck headed toward us. My dad told me to get the gun up on the rest and get the deer in the scope. He asked me if I had the crosshairs on his shoulder, I said yes. I breathed slowly and squeezed the trigger. He ran about 50 yards and then dropped. We were able to make a clean recovery.
