Hunt Story
Over the past two years, we've had multiple pictures of this buck, but only a couple daytime pictures. My family and I have hunted this deer hard, but nobody had ever laid eyes on him. New Year's Eve was warm and rainy. We got a small break in the rain just in time for the afternoon hunt, so I headed to the stand around 4:30 p.m. I had only been in the stand for 10 minutes when he appeared in the patch with two does. Before I had a chance to get my gun up, he left with the does. About an hour later, he and the does stepped back out at the far end of the patch. He slowly worked his way toward me, and I took the shot.
