Hunt Story
I had been watching this buck for two months. He and eight other bucks had been feeding behind my place in a pasture. I had put out some protein blocks and corn to hopefully keep them around. I had gotten pics of him pretty much everyday since July. The last pic I had gotten of him was this past Saturday the 14th at 3:00 a.m. I decided to go sit yesterday the 17th and see if they might show up with the cooler weather. At 6:20 the bachelor group showed up. There are about nine bucks in this group. They milled around and fed I’m the field for about 25 minutes, they finally came into the feeder area, thought I had lost him then, the feeder went off at 6:45 and spooked them. But luck was with me.... they showed back up around 7:30, a big 7-point and a smaller 8 were feeding at the feeder, Big Boy came in and ran the little 8 off and started feeding, he turned broad side at 20 yards, made a good shot and he ran about 80 yards.
