Hunt Story

Hurried home from work to get in the stand since the weather was great. My husband said it would be a good afternoon, since he had killed many rutted up bucks on this date in the past. Put on my camo and orange over my work clothes and hurried down to the stand. We have a quail feeder at the top of the food plot(I like to watch them from the stand). I walked over to it and scooped out some of the cracked corn around it. And then got in the stand. Around 5:30 a doe stepped out and started feeding in the plot. A few minutes later a nice buck stepped out near the quail feeder and looked at the doe. He took a few steps towards her then turned back to the feeder. He started eating the cracked corn I had just put out facing my direction. Seamed like forever before he turned and gave me a broadside shot. I put the crosshairs on his neck and squeezed the trigger. He dropped in his tracks. What a blessing.
