Hunt Story

Monday October 18th at grey light 7:15 am I had several deer in the vicinity of my stand. Several young bucks and some does. I've got a mid 140s 10-pointer in the area I\'m targeting and have had him on camera multiple times. Around 8:00 am I look over my left shoulder and notice a small buck which I thought was the big 10s running buddy but confirmed he wasn't and outta curiosity decided to grunt at him. Within a few seconds I hear leaves crunching ahead of me so I turn and look and gotta kinda slouch down to look through some limbs where I see feet and then body, and then a rack. I notice it's a mature 10-point buck just not the one I'm after. Quickly I make the decision to take him. Perfect 15 yard broadside shot. Buck ran about 50 yards and expired.
