Hunt Story

Me and my Pop were hunting the opening day of rifle season. We got there and really wasn’t a lot of action till later in the afternoon. Around 6:30 was when we started seeing a few little bucks and a few does. Then I was looking with my binoculars and I saw a big-bodied deer and he really didn’t look like a big buck until we saw him. He was about 100 yards away, I was about to pass him up and then I decided to shoot him. I got my gun up then I Aimed at the deer, he turned broadside then, BOOM I shot him, I hit him a little far back and I knew it was not a good shot so I bolted the gun and I shot him again and he ran a few yards and he didn’t go 20. We got down to go get him and when I saw him on the ground he was bigger than I thought. we went to go get the four wheeler then we rode by my brother’s spot and they had killed one too, and it was big. That hunt was the first hunt I’ve ever doubled up two big bucks.
