Hunt Story

Meredith, 11 years old, was hunting with her uncle Rob McBay in a stand on the edge of a bare food plot (drought), which was also bordering a white oak acorn ridge. About 45 minutes before dark, she ran off a small buck and a doe due to her coughing as a result of a cold. Thinking their night was over, she and her uncle began to pack up their items to head back to camp. Much to their surprise, a nice 9-pointer stepped out from the oak ridge at 60 yards. Meredith took the shot, dropping the buck in its tracks. This is Meredith's first buck. Photos below include one with both of her grandfathers: Glenn McBay and Fred Calhoun, and one with her uncle Rob McBay who was hunting with her at the time of her kill.
