Hunt Story
After what seemed to be a long day, around 2:15 I saw this deer come in about 100 yards out pushing a spike along and clearing his area. I had to grunt and rattle, and after several attempts I broke his attention, and he immediately came toward me moving quickly and on the scent trail of intruding buck scent by conquest. I didn't have any time to waste and immediately stood and grabbed my bow as he approached 40 yards. I bumped my grunt call and let the Mathews bow sling an arrow effortlessly in and out of his life. His front legs buckled and I knew he was done. He tried to get up and within a minute was on the ground.
