Hunt Story
An hour into my hunt I saw this buck coming through the hardwoods but he hung up just out of bow range. We have hundreds of pictures of this deer from the last three seasons so I was familiar with him and he was actually my target deer. A doe ended up coming in with a smaller buck on her tail, the larger buck (we nicknamed the G2 buck) didn’t like what he saw so he finally came in and started bumping the doe around. It seemed like forever but after being patient a bit, he presented me with an 18-yard shot with my bow. I smoked him, he ran about 40 yards and crashed. My first bow buck!
