Hunt Story

I got in the stand around 3:30 pm on November 11th. I was hunting near several new rubs and some scrapes. I grunted a few times, starting at about 4:15 pm, and the last time was about 4:50 pm. The deer came from the direction of the newest rub at around 5:10 pm, just walking the trail. I recognized him as a buck I had named Mr. X, because he was a main frame eight with a kicker on his left G2 and a G4 barely starting on his right side, almost making him a ten. I grunted to get him to stop and shot him broadside, at around 50 yards. He kicked high in the air and ran off out of sight, but I heard him crash. The shot hit the heart, leaving a massive blood trail, less than 100 yards. I recovered him at 5:20 pm.
