Hunt Story

It was the Sunday afternoon after the time had changed, and since we were not having evening service at church I decided to go hunting. I had been in my ground stand for about 30 minutes when two does walked out of the trees about 70 yards from my stand. I watched as they played around and grazed for about 10 minutes. Then a small 6-point buck walked out from my right. As the three grazed, I could hear something coming through the woods to my left. Finally, the nice 10-point buck came out of the trees about 50 yards from me. I waited till the buck jumped the fence and I took my shot. He turned and ran back into the edge of the trees. I could hear him in the leaves when he fell. I called my dad and he told me to "hold tight" and wait for him to get there. My dad and I walked into the woods about 20 yards and there was my deer.
