Hunt Story

My dad and I were sitting in a ground shelter blind on the back side of our chicken houses. We had been in the blind about 30 minutes and a dog came across the field. I thought " this hunt is over" because I knew that that dog would scare off any deer that were around. But I was wrong. Right behind the dog this big buck came out and seemed to be looking at the dog, too. I took aim and pulled the trigger. The buck jumped up and then ran. I shot again sure that I had missed him. The buck then turned around and was running back towards me. I was going to shoot again and my dad said just wait. And then down he went. We walked over to the buck and it was a big 9-point.
