Hunt Story
I got in the stand with my daughter around 6:15 a.m. She kept wiggling and then fell asleep. I woke her up when a 4-point showed up. We watched and took pictures him and two does for a while. They fed off, and she began wiggling again. I told her to go back to sleep because she was scaring the deer off. As she was sleeping, I glimpsed something out of the corner of my eye. I looked but did not see anything because he was behind a tree. I kept watching and then saw his horns stick out from behind the tree. I was so excited because he looked so big. I woke her up and handed her the binoculars. I took that opportunity to turn my gun around but still could not shoot that way. I watched him start walking the trail. He stopped and starting playing with some low hanging branches. I stood up and turned toward the tree so I could get a shot at him He started walking again down the trail. I was so worried he was going to walk away! I made a call, and he stopped and looked right at me! I pulled the trigger! My daughter told me the tree stand sounded like a jackhammer as I climbed down because I was shaking so bad! lol
