Hunt Story

My dad had been getting pictures of a nice 8-point coming out the last several mornings. The wind was right, so we went to that area on Sunday morning. We got in the blind about 30 minutes before it got daylight. Around 7:22, my dad heard footsteps. I looked in that direction and there the 8-pointer was walking 5 yards to the right of our blind. It walked right up to the feeder but was facing directly away from us. We had to wait for it to turn for what seemed like a long time and I was shaking like crazy. We waited about 5 minutes and it finally turned. I questioned if I should shoot it or not because it was kinda quartering away. So I asked my dad. “Do I shoot it?” He said “Yeah. Shoot it, shoot it!” I wanted to shoot it before it moved again and I couldn't get a shot. I put the deer in my scope and I shot. It jumped up and ran. I was so excited and I was still shaking. I could not wait to see it. I was so excited when we found him, it was the biggest buck I’ve ever shot.
