Hunt Story

My hunt took place at the bottom corner of a cow pasture in mixed hardwood and pines. A group of does came in, then went out of site. After a short time, one of the does snorted. They ran up the hill and continued to snort. I then saw a doe running and saw a glimpse of a buck chasing. At this point, the doe was still snorting. I picked up my rattle bag to mimic two bucks sparring. I also blew my grunt call, one long and two short. In less than a minute, I saw the buck coming up the hill. He was stopping and looking in all directions. He eventually walked up at 12 yards. I made a double-lung shot. He ran about 40 yards and crashed.
