Hunt Story
I was hunting with my dad at our family farm, over a 2 acre food plot. We had seen several does and yearlings already, it was about 5:10 when my dad said get on the gun there’s a nice buck, I got on the gun and my dad was looking at the buck to make sure he was a legal deer for our county. The buck was standing in the road facing us, so we had to wait for him to turn broadside. I started getting buck fever as I watched him, my dad helped me calm down as the deer was 200 yards. The buck turned broadside, I got on his shoulder and my dad kept telling me just squeeze the trigger slowly. I squeezed slowly and boom my .308 fired and the buck dropped in his tracks!!! I was so happy I finally got a nice buck after passing a bunch of smaller deer that week, thanks to my dad for taking me hunting!!
