Hunt Story
Since he was born I’ve talked about deer and deer hunting with him. Last year was the first time I met him go hunting with me, and when I would kill a deer I would go home and get him so he could help me track it. This year all he has talked about is killing his first buck. After several hunts this year and one missed opportunity due to the buck never turning broadside for him, we finally got a chance to make his dream come true. We practiced all summer with a crossbow and where to aim and I felt confident in him making a good shot. He seized his moment with his first time ever shooting a rifle. He didn’t even know it kicked. I don’t know who was more excited, him or me.
