Hunt Story

I climbed in there stand about 3 p.m. I saw a doe about 5, then a number of small bucks chasing some does. At about 5:50 I saw tall white tines walking through the pines headed for some hardwoods. I looked at him through my binoculars and knew this is a deer I wanted to harvest. I put my M77 Ruger up, but the scope was on 3 power and I couldn't see him well, so I pulled it down moved the dial to 9, shouldered the rifle and fired. I did not see him go down, but there was plenty of blood at the shot site. I decided to back out go to supper then locate the deer, which I did. He had run about a hundred yards.
