Hunt Story
My dad and I were in a stand, looking in opposite directions. We were watching several doe and yearlings when I saw another deer stepped out. I told him I thought it was a doe at first, but then we saw his antlers. My dad said that I needed to get my gun ready. I shot him and he jumped 3 feet into the air and ran into the woods. We waited a little while to go find him, but couldn’t find a good blood trail. It was getting dark, so we decided to call a friend with Retrievers. Our friend got to our house later than we expected, but as soon as we went back to the field and let the dogs out, they found my deer. We found him 54 yards were I shot him.
