Hunt Story

My dad and I were late getting to the stand. By the time I got to my stand, it was past daylight. Not long after being in the stand, I had a small 4-point make his way through the area. Not long after seeing this buck, I had a red fox enter from my right side and venture off down into the hardwood bottom. Not long after the fox had left, I noticed a good buck making his way across the old logging road. He reached the logging road that runs beside my stand and turned and starting making his way toward me. I quickly grabbed my gun and flicked the saftey off as I knew this was a good buck. He got about 20 yards off to my left and tried to wind me. He was not able to pick anything up. He continued to make his way down the logging road at a slight angle towards me. He finally got behind a pine tree, I raised my gun up quickly as he continued to walk and when he stepped out from behind the pine tree I took the shot.
