Hunt Story

At approximately 8:55 am on the morning of Nov. 15, 2015, I had a doe cross with in 20 yards of my stand. About 9:00 am this buck quickly came out of the woods in pursuit of the doe. He was so close, and at such an angle that I could not get my rifle on him. I chose to shoot him with my 10mm Glock. I fired two rounds, the first hit causing him to skip a step, the second sailing over his head. He then continued away from me and out into the open field. He paused/staggered just long enough, at about 40 yards, for me to fire my .243 Win. at him. This caused him to run into the woods about 10 yards where he dropped. I found that my first shot did hit him in the rib cage and the rifle shot hit him high on the shoulder.
