Hunt Story
Have a lot of history with this deer going back to 2019, including finding his shed from that year. Last year I saw him a lot but he almost always seemed to stay out around 60 yards or so. When he did come into range I wasn't able to connect. This year he showed up earlier than I expected and had two sightings before this hunt. I was covered up with small bucks chasing does around most of the morning, and then at 10:10 I looked up to see him headed straight to me. He gave me a perfect broadside shot at 25 yards and I made it count this time and watched him fall 40 yards later.
