Hunt Story
I was in the stand at 3:15 p.m. and didn’t see anything until 5:10 when an 8-point came walking through 40 yards out from of the stand, came from some hardwoods to my left into some scattered timber from my hang on at 40 yards. There was a nice 8-point first and because I had already harvested one similar earlier this year I let him walk. Soon behind was this 10, and as soon as I saw his gray nose I knew he was an older buck. He stepped between two oaks that were 3 feet apart and I stopped him making a 35-foot shot. He ran 70 yards and expired.
