Hunt Story
We were in the stand for an hour and a half and had only seen one 8-point. It was pretty much my last day to hunt before I had to go back to school, so the pressure was on and we weren’t having much action. At about 5:30 I saw some movement a couple hundred yards up the lane. I whispered "there’s a doe" to my stepfather. After grabbing the binoculars, he said "No, that’s him!" I waited on him to move down the lane but he started veering off the right into the woods. As he walked through the trees, he came out into the clear and I got a shot at him. He ran about a hundred yards and went down quick. I was shaking like crazy! It was such an exciting hunt!
